ABOUT THE ORGANISER/COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY
The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab (RGNUL) is an autonomous National Law University established under the RGNUL Act, 2006. The university states that it received an ‘A’ grade accreditation from NAAC in May 2015 and has been ranked among India’s leading law schools under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
The RGNUL Financial and Mercantile Law Review (RFMLR) is a bi-annual, student-run, double-blind peer-reviewed law journal established in 2014. It focuses on business and commercial law scholarship and is indexed on platforms including SCC Online, Hein Online, J-Gate and Manupatra. DETAILS ABOUT THE EVENT/OPPORTUNITY
The sixth edition is designed as a structured certificate course that bridges the theoretical foundations and practical complexities of M&A transactions.
According to page 6 of the brochure, the course addresses:

- Press Note 3 and the 2026 amendments.
- Structuring and clearance of cross-border M&A transactions.
- Deal timelines, red flags and potential deal-breakers.
- The direction of foreign investment policy and its implications for deal planning.
- Real-world implications for founders, PE/VC investors and legal teams navigating live transactions.
The session will feature Mr. Pratika Shankar, Partner at Talwar Thakore & Associates (TT&A), who has over 10 years of experience in Corporate, M&A and Private Equity. His areas of specialisation include inbound and outbound strategic M&A, private equity and structured financing.
