ABOUT THE ORGANISER / UNIVERSITY

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, was established by the State Legislature of Punjab through the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, 2006. The university was created as a national-level centre of excellence in legal education to meet the growing demand for advanced legal studies in the era of globalisation and liberalisation.

RGNUL received approval from the Bar Council of India in July 2006 and is registered with the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The university has also been declared eligible to receive grants under Section 12-B of the UGC Act and has been accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC. Over the years, RGNUL has emerged as one of the leading law universities in India, offering integrated undergraduate programmes, LL.M., and Ph.D. programmes while promoting quality research and academic engagement.

DETAILS ABOUT THE EVENT / OPPORTUNITY

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab is organising an International Conference on “Human Rights & Fundamental Rights: Past, Present and Future”. The conference aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for academicians, researchers, practitioners, policymakers and students to engage in meaningful dialogue on the development, protection and future of human rights and fundamental rights.

The conference will examine historical perspectives, analyse contemporary challenges, and explore emerging frameworks for strengthening rights protection in a rapidly evolving global landscape.

The organising committee invites original and unpublished research papers, articles and case comments that critically engage with the conference theme. Submissions may adopt doctrinal, comparative, empirical or interdisciplinary approaches related to human rights and fundamental rights.

  • Abstract length: 250–300 words (maximum 4 keywords)

  • Full paper word limit: Maximum 5000 words

  • Co-authorship allowed for up to two authors

  • Language: English only

  • Citation style: Bluebook (21st Edition)

  • Plagiarism limit: 10% (excluding footnotes and bibliography)

  • Submissions must be original and unpublished
