9. Technology, security and availability

  • LawFoyer does not guarantee that its platforms will always be available, uninterrupted, error free, secure or free from viruses or other harmful components, and

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in India:

  2. LawFoyer’s total aggregate liability, if any, for any claim arising out of or in connection with any LawFoyer platform or service, whether in contract, tort, equity, statute or otherwise, shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the user to LawFoyer for the specific course, event or service in question, if any.

Nothing in this Legal Disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law in India.

11. Intellectual property rights

Unless otherwise stated:

  • all content on LawFoyer platforms, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, trademarks, trade names, service marks, designs, photographs, videos, audio, compilations, layouts, interfaces, software, course structures and study materials, is owned by or licensed to LawFoyer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws, and
  • users are granted a limited, non exclusive, non transferable, revocable licence to access and use such content solely for personal, non commercial, educational purposes in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.

Users shall not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, licence, modify, publish, translate, adapt, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any content from LawFoyer platforms without prior written permission from LawFoyer or the rightful owner.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

This Legal Disclaimer and any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or in connection with any LawFoyer platform or service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Subject to any mandatory provisions of law, the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes, claims or controversies. No case shall be instituted against LawFoyer or any of its allies, associates, or agents without resorting to amicable settlement through alternative dispute resolution methods including, negotiation, mediation, arbitration and lok adalats.
