Tandrisa Banerjee, Sahil & Rajdeep emerge as Winners of 5th Adamas University National Moot Court Competition, 2025

LawFoyer’s Achievers’ Archive proudly celebrates Tandrisa Banerjee, a fourth year B.A. LL.B student from Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College, Calcutta University, for securing the Winner’s title at the 5th National Moot Court Competition hosted by Adamas University, Kolkata. The competition took place from 10 April to 12 April 2025 and brought together some of the most talented legal minds from across the country.

Winning a national level moot is never a simple feat. It demands mastery of law, clarity of thought, courtroom composure and the ability to respond under intense pressure. Tandrisa demonstrated all of this and more. Representing her institution with confidence and dedication, she led her team consisting of Sk Sahil as the second speaker and Rajdeep De as the researcher. Together, they navigated multiple rounds of complex arguments and stood out for their preparation, advocacy skills and structured legal reasoning.

What made this victory truly special was the environment in which it was earned. The Adamas National Moot Court Competition is known for its rigorous judging panels, challenging problems and high standards of performance. Tandrisa faced intense questioning throughout her rounds, but she embraced it as a space to grow rather than a setback. Her ability to remain composed under pressure and articulate her arguments with precision set her apart in a courtroom filled with exceptional competitors.

Beyond the trophy and recognition, this achievement reflects Tandrisa’s commitment to continuous improvement. She shared that this win felt like a reality check that pushed her to see her own potential differently. Judges questioned every layer of her arguments, forcing her to refine her advocacy skills and deepen her understanding. Instead of being discouraged, she found strength in the experience. It taught her that good advocacy is not about sounding grand; it is about maintaining accuracy, clarity and conviction even when the questions get tough.

She describes this moment as a turning point. It made her understand that legal learning has no finish line. There is always more to study, more to analyse and more to unlearn. According to her, true growth in law comes when students realise they still have miles to go, no matter how well they perform. This mindset is what makes her win so inspiring. It reflects the discipline and humility that are essential for every aspiring litigator.

This achievement is also a reminder of the importance of teamwork. Mooting is never an individual journey. Each round was supported by careful research, strategy discussions and mutual encouragement. The synergy between Tandrisa and her teammates played a major role in their success. Their dedication shows what young legal aspirants can achieve when they combine discipline with a passion for learning.

Tandrisa’s journey is a powerful message for all law students. She encourages learners to embrace challenges, step into difficult spaces and treat every question as an opportunity to grow. Her experience shows that excellence is not defined by perfection but by the courage to keep evolving.

LawFoyer applauds her remarkable achievement, her outstanding performance and the spirit of learning she embodies. Her success will surely inspire many students across the country who dream of making their mark in the world of mooting and advocacy.
