ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Law, Prestige Institute of Management & Research in Gwalior is a premier, NAAC Grade A’ Autonomous Institute and ISO 9001-2015 certified. Established in 1997, the institute has been recognized as one of the top institutions in Madhya Pradesh and Central Asia. It operates under the ethos of the Prestige Education Foundation, founded by ‘Padma Shri Dr. N.N. Jain.
The department offers a holistic 360-degree education with a choice-based, outcome-based syllabus featuring a blend of Law (72 subjects), Management, Commerce, and Arts/Humanities courses. Approved by the Bar Council of India and Jiwaji University, Gwalior, it provides fiveyear integrated courses: BA. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com, LL.B. (Hons), and B.RA, LL.B. (Hons.), along with an LL.M.program.
The faculty is highly qualified, with 30% holding Ph.D.s and 70% being alumni of National Law Universities (NLUs). The student body is diverse, with a near-equal 48% female/52% male split, drawing students from five states and one union territory.
DETAILS ABOUT THE EVENT/OPPORTUNITY
The Prestige National Arbitration Competition 2025 – “The Pathway of Resolution” is designed to simulate real-world arbitration proceedings. It offers students a platform to showcase advocacy and drafting skills while deepening their understanding of international arbitration. The competition will be held in two phases — Online Rounds (7–8 November 2025) and In-Campus Rounds (21–22 November 2025) at PIMR, Gwalior.
