In an inspiring display of determination and excellence, Aliza Naved, a 2024 graduate from Career College of Law, Bhopal, along with her teammate Khushi Pawar, etched their names in history by winning the Best Legal Opinion Award at the 2nd NLIU-LAC WTP: Paralegal Training and Competition, held in April 2023 at the National Law Institute University (NLIU).

What makes this achievement truly remarkable is not just the win itself, but the story behind it. Coming from a college that had never before participated in major national legal competitions, Aliza and her team were the first to challenge the status quo. They fought through institutional hesitation and cultural barriers, convincing their college management to allow them to represent Career College of Law on a national stage. Their courage and resilience paved the way for a new era of participation, inspiration, and academic growth within their institution.
The 2nd NLIU-LAC WTP: Paralegal Training and Competition is a prestigious platform that brings together aspiring legal minds from across the country. It focuses on strengthening legal awareness, drafting, and paralegal skills, allowing participants to engage in practical learning experiences. Competing among some of the best law students from leading universities such as NLIU, KIIT, BHU, AMU, and JLU, Aliza and Khushi showcased exceptional drafting and analytical abilities, earning them the coveted title of Best Legal Opinion Winners at a national-level event.
For Aliza, this victory was more than just a trophy—it was the beginning of a transformative journey. As she recalls,
“We are from a non-NLU law college, and our college didn’t have a history of participation. My partner and I started the trend after a long fight with the management to go to our first moot, and to bring the trophy for the best legal draft was a bittersweet moment. We worked hard and eventually brought glory to our institute multiple times.”
This milestone was not an isolated one. Following their initial success, Aliza and Khushi went on to represent their college in several other prestigious competitions at KIIT, Delhi Metropolitan Institute, FIIMS, BHU, AMU, Allahabad University, and JLU, consistently performing with excellence and dignity. Their unwavering commitment to legal education and their pioneering efforts culminated in something far greater than individual recognition—they officially laid the foundation of the Moot Court Society at Career College of Law, ensuring that future generations of students would have a structured platform to pursue mooting and legal research.
Over the next three years, Aliza and her peers dedicated themselves to mentoring and training new teams, passing on their knowledge, skills, and passion for advocacy. Their journey stands as a shining example of how vision, courage, and teamwork can redefine the academic landscape of an institution.
The win at NLIU not only marked a proud moment for Aliza and Khushi but also for Career College of Law, Bhopal, which celebrated its students’ emergence on the national legal circuit. Their story continues to inspire students across the country, reminding every aspiring law student that determination and hard work can break barriers and open new doors—no matter where one begins.
LawFoyer congratulates Adv. Aliza Naved and Khushi Pawar for their outstanding achievement and their unwavering spirit of leadership. Their journey embodies the essence of legal excellence, empowerment, and perseverance.
