RELINQUISHMENT DEED

This Deed of Relinquishment is executed at Delhi on this ___ day of ______, 20.

  1. Smt. Avadh, wife of Sh. __________, daughter of late Sh. X, resident of ______________,
  2. Smt. Bala, wife of Sh. __________, daughter of late Sh. X, resident of ______________,
  3. Smt. Chand, wife of Sh. __________, daughter of late Sh. X, resident of ______________,
  4. Sh. Devi Lal, son of late Sh. X, resident of _________, Delhi,

Hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Releasors”, which term shall, unless repugnant to the context or meaning thereof, include their heirs, legal representatives, successors, and assigns of the FIRST PART.

IN FAVOUR OF

Smt. Ragini, wife of late Sh. X, resident of __________, Delhi, hereinafter referred to as the “Releasee”, which term shall, unless repugnant to the context or meaning thereof, include her heirs, legal representatives, successors, and assigns of the SECOND PART.


WHEREAS:

  1. Late Sh. X was the sole and absolute owner of the property bearing No. _____, Delhi, consisting of a double-storey house constructed over an area measuring 200 sq. yds.
  2. Late Sh. X passed away intestate on 25th April, 1990, leaving behind the Releasors and the Releasee as his only legal heirs.
  3. As per the applicable laws of inheritance, the property devolved equally among the Releasors (No. 1 to 4) and the Releasee, each having an equal 1/5th undivided share.
  4. Besides the Releasors and the Releasee, no other individual has any right, title, or interest in the said property.
  5. The Releasors, out of their natural love and affection for the Releasee and without receiving any monetary consideration, wish to relinquish their collective 4/5th share in favor of the Releasee.

NOW THIS DEED WITNESSES AS FOLLOWS:

  1. Relinquishment of Share
    The Releasors hereby voluntarily, without any coercion or undue influence, relinquish and release all their rights, title, and interest in the property bearing No. _____, Delhi, along with the land admeasuring 200 sq. yds., in favor of the Releasee. The Releasee shall henceforth be the sole and absolute owner of the property, having acquired the Releasors’ 4/5th share in addition to her existing 1/5th share.

  2. Extinguishment of Claims
    The Releasors affirm that neither they nor their heirs, successors, or assigns shall have any claim, title, or interest in the said property after the execution of this deed. All rights, title, and interest of the Releasors stand extinguished.

  3. Possession
    The possession of the aforementioned property is with the Releasee, who shall continue to possess and enjoy the property without any interference or objection from the Releasors.

  4. Mutation and Transfer of Ownership
    The Releasee is entitled to apply for and effect the mutation, transfer, or registration of the property in her sole name before any competent authority, based on this Deed of Relinquishment.

  5. Custody of Original Documents
    The Releasee is already in possession of all original title deeds and relevant documents related to the property. The Releasors confirm that they have no objection to the Releasee retaining these documents.

The Releasors and the Releasee have affixed their respective signatures to this Deed of Relinquishment on the day, month, and year first mentioned above at Delhi.
